Prosciutto with cheddar = spaghetti with ketchup.

Anyone ever have prosciutto (or ham, or sopresetto, or a slice of pretty much any salted lunch meat) wrapped around a piece of cantaloupe? Good stuff. Great appetizer if you ever have to bring something to a potluck lunch.

Yes. The saltiness of the meat combines nicely with the sweetness of the fruit, but the bacon-wrapped date remains the undisputed king of meat-wrap appetizers.

I love chorizo, and I love capicola. Prosciutto is way too bitter for my tastes.

    Bacon wrapped scallops. No contest.

I love bacon-wrapped scallops. High protein and I can make a meal of them. But I still like the salty-sweet combination I get with dates a little better.

At the risk of an irreparably divided board, I'm going to suggest that steak fries are the best variety of French fries. Better than shoe string or crinkle cut or waffle or curly.

I'm with you. Good steak fries rule. Place we went to often when I was a kid had great ones. And I'd get a chopped (hamburger) steak smothered in cheese, then have those steak fries to mop up. So freaking good. But I would not turn down almost any kind of fry. Not too fond of the sweet potato variety, but I enjoy them sometimes.

With some coarse ground sea salt and a little A-1.
