I don't think there is any doubt. What I don't understand is why the bone never healed from the 2010 injury and why nobody realized it until this spring.

 

This is a bad injury.
He redamaged an area where all of the muscles and tendons attach, and could be facing a huge rehab.
It did make possible an opportunity for one of the better names in baseball, Socrates Brito.

Nomar Mazara, a 20-year-old outfielder, is making a hell of a major league debut for the Rangers today. He has hits in his first three at-bats, including a solo home run. Mazara always had talent, but really emerged as a top prospect with a big 2015 season.

Mazara was called up today because the Rangers lost Shin-Soo Choo to the DL for four-to-six weeks with a calf strain.

Mazara tore it up this spring, but the Rangers started him in the minors. I thought it was to delay his arbitration clock. I didn't know he was already on the 40-man roster.
