Food/restaurant rant

    Hollow out the apples, fill with brown sugar, cinnamon, butter and oats then bake them.

    With you. Not baked, but we buy these killer apples from a farmers market every week as long as they have them, and Ms. Ragu does cooked apples (compote, but without added sugar or syrup). It is killer. There is nothing wrong with cooking fruit.

    My younger son recently got a part-time job as a busboy at a nice French restraurant. From what he says, I don't think any uneaten scallops make it back to the kitchen when he is cleaning tables.
