Does anyone in the Rezidentura know who their spies actually are?

 

The directorate S spies? I don't believe so. That would be pretty dangerous knowledge to let them have. That is why it was such a big deal when a disguised Philip brushed paths with Arkady.

 

Oleg's dad might be the one who had her killed.

 

Philip's gonna die bad before the show's over. Either that or he's gonna ask his daughter to kill him or he'll die somehow protecting her.

I'll wager Paige has some role in the pastor's death. He's been set up all along as a disingenuous, overcurious meddler. A lot of pastors before the moral majority mega churches fit that bill.

 

Agree on both counts. I don't think that they pull the trigger on Philip until the last season, maybe in a last ditch effort to save the family.

And Pastor Tim (or his wife) will be how Paige makes her bones.

 

I'm still holding out belief Pastor Tim is working for the Centre and the Next Generation program.

 

It's still definitely on my list of possibilities, but the fact that the Center was apparently willing to have him and his wife killed makes that tough to buy. If he was their agent, they were just going to make him disappear and move onto a new identity I guess, but why burn a whole Directorate S couple that way? That's a damn valuable asset.

Paige killing Pastor Tim? If that happens, it's multiple seasons down the line, and even then I doubt it. I can buy that they turn Paige to someone who passes information, but not into a full-on wetwork super spy. The show runners pride themselves on historical realism, and one of the realities was that many of the Russian illegals just lived boring lives and filed reports occasionally.

 

Paige's first kill will be self defense. I think they foreshadowed that when she and Henry escaped the weirdo who picked them up at the mall in Season 1.

 

We kind of know the Korean chick's husband has something to do with getting William Level 4 access . . . don't we?

Although the show has not even hinted at how they fit in to the big picture. Man, they do go at their own pace.

Also, happened to notice the title of Episode 9 is The Day After. Maybe that will be Able Archer.

 

Any chance Phillip ends up trying to turn Beaman's son? He seemed to kind of leer at him and something about the way they held that scene felt off......

Just just spent the last month binging on this show and am finally caught up. Holy crap is this good. I am so hooked. I kind of wish I was still behind so I can keep binging instead of waiting for next week.

I agree, Paige is probably going to bump off Pastor Tim. You can kind of see it in her eyes that she is realizing what a big deal it is that he told his wife. The parents seem willing to try to turn them, but Paige seems to know the end game here.

Martha is going to die, right? There seems little chance she manages to stay on the run for very long.
