This is the kind of talk that has me looking forward to that series. Extreme contrast of styles.

As I said before, I think Pop has been intentionally avoiding letting the W's see his playoff rotation. Hell, I think he might have something up his sleeve to go big against small ball. It is possible if Barnes and Iguodala aren't hitting their shots. Remember that Iguodala was in the midst of a career hot streak last year; can he do that again?

All right, you've convinced me that the Warriors do indeed have the upper hand. But I don't think we've seen all the Spurs have to offer.

Do you guys all make your Derby bets in March? I don't think there's much chance some other Western team will get in the way of a Spurs-Warriors matchup, but the chances of either or both teams suffering an injury to an important player in the process of winning the first two rounds are not negligible.

I haven't seen this mentioned in all of the discussion about Duncan's role, how much he has played against the Warriors. In the Spurs' one win he played only 8 minutes even though healthy. Bogut didn't play that game, but the Spurs did come up with a successful game plan that didn't include Duncan.

Spurs/Thunder could be a pretty good match up in the second round. Thunder beat them in both meetings in OKC. If they can steal one in San Antonio, that could derail the epic conference finals we all expect. Still not going to bet against the Spurs in that one but that might be the only team to do it.

Duncan has played 27 minutes against the Warriors this year, and has a -16 +/-. Small sample size, etc.

OKC could absolutely beat the Spurs. Clips probably have the best chance of derailing GS, but I'm not sure they'd get past Portland if that indeed is the first-round matchup.

If there is one thing I am comfortable guaranteeing in these playoffs, it is that the Warriors will not let themselves be taken out by the Clippers.

    Those guys hate each other.

You can never rule out Chris Paul getting super dirty with Steph. Might be the only way the Clips could win.

The Warriors are 18-point favorites tonight. Looks like No. 73 is a pretty safe bet.

Julius Hodge would advise Steph to protect his nuts.

In addition to the quest for 73, Curry needs eight three-pointers to reach 400 for the season. (Second-highest total ever is Curry last year with 286.)

Eight minutes into the first quarter, he has five of the eight three-pointers he needs.

Houston clinches No. 8 spot in West by routing Kings JV in what likely will be Karl's finale. Sacramento "rested" three players. Rested for what? Do they have to help move the team out of Sleep Train over the summer?
