She's not calling for abolishing tips. She's calling for an end to waiters and waitresses making a subminimum wage just because they earn tips.

Does she think there would be no unintended results from a change like that?

 

Unintended consequences such as the waiter/waitress doesn't have to depend upon the whim of the customer in order to earn a living?

 

It's not going to get rid of tipping. It will get rid of jobs.
