Oh, I am. He hasn't got 14 majors in fucking if he's doing Perkins' waitresses.

That just shows how bad he needs it -- he'll do pretty much anything in a skirt. I suspect he needs that a lot more than he needs golf.

    My thoughts, exactly.

  4. So let's say TW's done. Not another major. Not another PGA Tour win ...
    Where does he rank?
    No. 2? Top 5?

    For me:
    No. 1: Nicklaus
    No. 2: Woods
    No. 3: Hagen
    No. 4: Snead
    No. 5: Jones/Hogan/Nelson ...whatever

Second to Nicklaus in the post WWII era. Before that, most folks at the time put Jones ahead of Hagen.

  6. I'm not most folks. Not a fan of Jones.
Hagen was a better golfer than Jones who did more for the game's players. He's been forgotten, whitewashed. and overshadowed by Jones' and his fans.

Regardless, I think TW is goes down as 2nd best. Not GOAT. Not even close.

He shouldn't touch a club — other than a putter or a 56 degree wedge for chipping — for the next two years.

When he returns, if he returns, the expectations will be totally different. We'll have forgotten about him a little. He gets a year to rehab, a year to mentally refresh. Then, slowly start swinging the club again. Focus only on a smooth tempo. That's his only chance, to stop going at the ball so hard.

He has an exemption in three of the four majors until he's 60 (it's supposedly lifetime for the Masters and PGA, but they nudge you out the door too in your 60s). Only the US Open won't let him automatically play, and they gave Jack and Arnie an number of exemptions into their 60s. His 10-year USGA exemption will run out in 2018, and the US Open is being played at Pebble in 2019. If he wants, I'm sure the USGA will give him an exemption as a former champion there. Beyond that, he might never play in a US Open again. There is no way he's grinding through 36 holes a day in a sectional qualifier.

Maybe his last act is to surprise us at 43 or 44.

    I doubt it. But maybe.

for the 11 years from JN winning his 1st major, he won 12. TW won his 14 in the 11 years from 1st win to last. Jack had more longevity and sustained excellence. Jack won 6 in his next 13 years. The back end of his career is better than most of the best to play. He's the overall best, but TW was the more dominant in his prime. TW was Willie Mays, JN was Aaron. When they were both in their prime, Mays was better.

I've read a few of these longform stories about Tiger. Its pretty safe to assume that, aside from what he achieved on the golf courses, this guy has a complete zero for a personality. It may in fact be negative, that he actually sucks energy out of a room when he walks in.

Which accounts for either his taste in women or ability to get them. Hookers, waitresses, models, nannies and skiers. None known for intellect or depth.
