I don't think anyone who has paid attention views Trump as a conservative. That's not his appeal. He's a social liberal, which is why the knee-jerk "Oh my God, he's an authoritarian" reactions to him are so silly.

 

Meanwhile, the Baltimore Sun reports that Jack Meoff is a big Trump[ supporter. No word on who Mike Hunt is supporting.

Nothing inconsistent at all that someone with a few socially liberal viewpoints would position himself as an authoritarian. That's exactly what Trump is doing.

Trump is a bit of an odd duck in this respect. He's socially liberal in one or two areas, but not very many. His popularity, I think, is primarily based on an authoritarian demeanor that a lot of people buy into. Most of us see it for what it is -- bluster.
