An egg account on Twitter is speculating that the NCAA is going to come down hard on UNC. Says he's anonymous out of necessity. No idea of veracity, but he's at @rccpmd.

 

Reads like a shit stirrer to me, but he amended Notice of Allegation is now apparently in UNC's hands, so we should know soon.

Now he's saying it was all a joke.

 

They are going to restart the investigation and take long enough to allow Ole Roy the opportunity to coach 2 more years. He retires, UNC brings in a new AD and BB coach and the NCAA slap a wrist, takes a few scholarships 1 year post season ban, which wouldn't matter because Roy is going to leave the pantry empty.

 

So, Winston-Salem State is screwed?

 

The revised NOA is now public. I just finished reading it. Notably, the references to football and men's basketball that were in the original NOA have been removed. The original NOA alleged impermissible benefits in multiple sports. This one only focuses on women's basketball, overall lack of institutional control and three charges of unethical conduct against two faculty members and a staff member - all from the academic side.

Looks like Ol Roy might come out of it clean as a whistle.

Boy, I tell you, they have rolled around in shit and somehow come out smelling like a rose. It's good to be UNC, I guess.

 

They're really going to skate. Unbelievable. Why the fuck does the NCAA even exist?

 

I can't even process this. They fabricated an entire academic department and the NCAA is going to slap the women's hoops team on the wrist and call it good. They took the shears to their own evidence to save UNC. I'm flabbergasted.
