No, I don't want politicians "spreading money around." I want politicians who are interested in searching for solutions and making it feasible for the average worker to do anything but stagnate/move backward. Liberals just don't get (or don't care) that the government is not going to solve problems by being some sort of benevolent father figure. And given our current system, it is neither capable nor interested in fixing things.

I would counter that the government has some kind of role in creating laws that help rich people get and keep money and pay comparatively little or no taxes so doing something about that would seem reasonable.
