Would probably earn the ticket a lot of newspaper endorsements. Editorial boards loved Kasich.

I love the argument for Hillary:

She's no more a crook than any other politician.

Not everything she says is a lie.

    She's not completely unlikable.

She hasn't used every means at her disposal to enrich herself, at the expense of the public.

Her foreign policy failures aren't as bad as the guy we consider to be the worst president ever.

I can't stand Kasich, almost as much as I can't stand Rubio and Walker

Cran, sometimes you're full of shit, but I appreciate that you're committed and not trying to placate people with "nuance."

Picking Huckabee or Christie brings what contingent into the fold? They fared horribly in the primaries. It'd be like picking Fiorina. An informed person who wasn't already vetted by the voters is who he needs to go for. Unfortunately for him, just about every informed Republicans ran for president this year...

In what world is Huckabee informed or Christie a front-runner?

(Though with his daughter working for Trump's campaign, the Huckster might have a good shot.)

    Who ya got, then?

The GOP posted 17 opponents and couldn't find a one to give her a match.

For one thing, Huckabee showed that he was principled during the Kim Davis matter. Even people who disagreed with him in substance will admire that he was willing to take that stand. It was the beginning of the end for Cruz, too. He really wanted to latch onto it, and Huckabee was able to freeze him out.
