If they trade Trout, that cinches it. House cleaning galore.

You're not going to get full value for Trout, but he's the only tradeable asset you have. I guess they could keep him and win 75 or 80 games in perpetuity.

This is ridiculous. They aren't locked into sucking for the next 5-10 years because they suck now.

They also aren't nearly as budget-strapped as everyone seems to think. Arte can spend whatever he wants.

Trout is 24 years old. If they ever plan to get good, he'll be there leading the way.

Trade Trout for Kershaw, as both SoCal teams are wasting years of their best players.

Steak, you are arguing a hypothetical. The Angels aren't trading Trout and we all know it. Whether or not they suck all year long, they still have tickets to sell. Removing the one reason fans have to come to the ballpark in the hopes of a better tomorrow is 76ers thinking.

"Hey Angels fans, I know we suck right now, but here's what we did: We traded the best player in baseball, but we got younger! We traded a 24 year-old perennial Top 3 MVP candidate for two prospects who are 23 years-old! Are you excited??"

Cubs are up 7-2 on the Nats.

If they had to win by 4 or it counted as a loss, they'd still be 16-11 and in first place in the division.

Cubs color guy just mentioned a Jeopardy category called "salad-tossing lefties." Were I not at my in-laws, I would've yelled.
