Or maybe he'll look into Mets pitchers at the plate?

I understand that you have a blood oath to defend Dusty Baker now that he's in the process of running your team into the ground. (And it will happen.) But mocking people for saying he ruined Prior and Wood - especially Prior - doesn't mean that they're wrong. Because he did.

Mark Prior's pitch counts in September and October, 2003:

    131
    129
    109
    124
    131
    133
    133
    116
    119

    He was 22 years old.

Wood was damaged goods before the Cubs even signed him, and he'd already missed a season due to Tommy John surgery years before Dusty was even hired. But yeah, Dusty's culpable for Prior.

Kerry Wood's pitch counts starting August 27, 2003:

    125
    120
    122
    114
    125
    122
    97
    124
    117
    109
    112

He also threw 141 pitches in a May start and 130-plus in an August start.

Number of times 30-year-old Jake Arrieta threw more than 120 pitches in 2015: 2
Number of times 22-year-old Mark Prior threw more than 120 pitches in 2003: 9

Prior topped 100 pitches in his final 13 starts in 2003 (including the postseason), when he was well into his largest season workload of his life.

Dusty doesn't get pardoned for that just because he's managing SJ.com's Team now.

With all the talk about pitcher overuse, I assumed the talk was going to turn to Dwight Gooden here at some point.

That's just sweet, Steak. And it's a good one for the random images thread.

IIRC couple of his best seasons with the Mets his day-night splits were crazy.
