Well, lots of muggers in crime-ridden cities, for starters. At least that's their job, though, and they hardly limit themselves to 17-year-olds.
If you want look at bigger fish, how about Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson? They've gotten very, very wealthy feasting on the bones of situations like the Zimmerman-Martin fiasco for their own benefit. Those are the two most obvious examples, but there are hundreds of "activists" like them that exploit tragedy for personal gain.
