Exactly. It's the 2016 version of "pray away the gay." Of course it means taking the time to learn a little bit about the subject, but in this era where sharing a Facebook message stands for social activism, not gonna happen.

So then the House votes for Romney because his electoral wins make him 3rd in the EC vote and therefore make him eligible for consideration by the House, right?

As you know, the question YF asked was, is America safer, and not anything remotely close to who was a better war time president. Of course, GW Bush was also an atrocious war-time president if we do want to take the conversation in that direction.

And, under Truman, of course, we had 150,000-plus civilian deaths at Hiroshima and Nagasaki and some 50,000 American soldiers killed in Korea.

    Presimably.

The vote is by state delegations, I believe, and the campaign would be waged there.

If Romney is the choice of the establishment, he should win.

What I like about it is that it aligns the interests of the Trump and #NeverTrump folks in 48/49 states.

Yes. It is by state delegations. GOP certain to have that locked up even in the improbable event that Democrats wind up with more total membership in the new House.

It really is a brilliant idea. But why stop at Idaho and Utah? Arizona and Nevada are also big Mormon states. Would Wyoming also be a good idea?

Quit pretending to be Baron. Comparing casualties across administrations is dumb, and you know that.

To a certain extent, yes, but in GW's case we have a president who ventured into a totally unnecessary war, of his own doing, that cost our nation dearly.

Obama's administration, in its conduct of military operations, has done everything it can to keep our troops safe and casualties to a minimum during an extremely difficult time.

It's perfectly valid to compare their use of the military.

You could do Nevada, since it's not necessary to win, though Romney could potentially win it.

You'd have to do polling in Wyoming and Arizona.

I can't imagine Hillary wins Wyoming even in a three way race.

Not sure about Arizona. Could tip it.

Either way, the key is to win just enough electoral votes to keep Trump under 270.

Oh would the send-to-the-House play be a cluster-fuck ... What if a third of the states refused to participate (thus denying the House a quorum)?
