Since baseball was first played players went at middle infielders after being hit. You think this is new? And if he wanted to hurt Odor he would have gone in spikes up.

Again bullshit. Bautista brings most of the shit on himself. He whines far too often, but yes he is one of my boys.

But hey, if throwing punches after hard slides is considered ok, I'm all for it.

 

The whole thing was silly.

The idea that months after Bautista's bat flip and in his last AB of the season against the Rangers a reliever who wasn't even on the roster at the time feels compelled to drill him was ridiculous. That Bautista then feels compelled to make a late, hard slide and that Odor feels a need to punch him afterward just compounds the silliness.

Even sillier is that it's probably still not over. It will carry into 2017.

I doubt it, Bautista will be somewhere else by then.
