I guess Billy Donovan is pretty good

One of the knowledgeable talking heads on NBA Radio pointed out that after the Game 1 drubbing, Donovan basically went back to the Scott Brooks playbook from last season, and that's what did the trick...he was very complimentary about Donovan's willingness to alter his style and game plan.

Is he? I just think there are too many variables in play, and I'm not entirely sold that Donovan gets them any further than Brooks did. Then again, I ultimately think it'll be misteps on the part of management and ownership (trading away Harden because he was too pricey, trying to save money on first round draft picks) that'll prevent the Thunder from winning a championship, if they never manage it.

Whatever the reason was for trading away James Harden, that was a good call.

This is going to be a hell of a series. When the Warriors do have trouble, it's against an explosive perimeter game. And the Thunder definitely brings that.

Most of us only know what we see and we don't see practice or any interaction between players other than the 2 hours it takes to play a game.

But Harden just seems a bit weird. And he doesn't appear to have great on court relationship with his teammates. Who knows. Did Durant and Westbrook complain a lot when he was dealt? They didn't complain when Brooks was fired.

Damn, Westbrook with 19 points in the third quarter. Thunder trailed by 13 at half, cut it to three.

But the Warriors did close the first half with the Death Lineup and went +7 in four minutes, so OKC has to make hay early in the quarter.

I know there's no such thing as traveling in the NBA, but Jesus Christ. Take it out of the rulebook if you aren't going to call it there.

There's bad, and then there's truly awful. The refusal to call that is most definitely the latter.

OK then, this series is going to be very interesting. Not a surprise there, though.

But I'm sure it will be mentioned in the L2M report tomorrow.

Just turned on the ECF game. Are the Cavs so dominant the arena has become a library?
