Sanders has nothing to lose. He will not run for the job again. I don't blame him for taking it to the convention and maybe he gets lucky.

But if Trump becomes president, Sanders will be one of the great punch bowl turds in American political history.

 

Sanders will die mysteriously before the convention.

 

LOL ... Yeah, in such a scenario it'd be absurd to assess primary blame to the person Trump actually ran against.

No poll, not a single poll, matters in May. Never, never, never. Late August? September? Maybe. Polls before then are useless other than giving cable news something to fill airtime. And Twitter.

 

Nothing that comes out of Trump's mouth has to be true. Truth is a very malleable concept for him.

What made him stand out early? "I'll build a wall" and "We'll deport the illegals."

The real thing is this: It isn't so much what Sanders does, it's what his supporters do. He can eventually back Hillary, but it won't matter if a great majority of his supporters refuse to.
