Nobody has yet figured out that it was really Obama's fault for allowing it to happen, so I'd say that's a pretty big accomplishment in shaping the narrative.

Gary Johnson is for the NeverTrump folks, mostly Lonesone Rhodes types like Glenn Beck, the think-tankers who will be rendered obsolete by Trump and the one senator who flaps his gums about Trump all the time.

If I could pick one person to just sorta amble off into a time warp, never to be seen or heard from again, it'd probably be Beck, a community playhouse actor surrounded by think-tankers plugging him with propaganda.

Good point about "the think tankers." The Trump phenomenon clearly demonstrates that all the think-tank ideas -- necon foreign policy, cutting entitlements and trickle down economics -- never really had support among the rank and file. The party stands for whatever it is that Trump stands for, which I haven't quite figured out aside from grouping together of angry, low-skill white men who feel threatened by women and people of color.
