Were you guys up in Yankee Stadium saying, "it's about time" when Lou Gehrig made his farewell speech?

I have no idea where the idea that the Giants own the Dodgers comes in, either this year or historically.

The Giants do, however, own the Padres. They're 7-0 already.

    That's at least leasing.

I have to watch Hawk Harrelson daily. He talks more about 1966 than 2016.

What? He botched pitch types regularly because he's watching the field instead of his monitor. It's fine, but he does it.

Chris Sale just struck someone out on a 96 mph fastball with a runner on and two outs. Looking forward to the next Fangraphs piece explaining that it didn't really happen.

Now he just gave up a two-run double. Must have forgotten that there were runners on and not used the real stuff.

I totally think he's never going to give up a hit.

I have nothing against Scully. Guys like that have earned the right to work as long as they want to. It's just funny to me hearing him go off on inning-long tangents, come back to the game for a moment, and pick up right where he left off on the tangent.

Yeah, dude, the Giants are leading the division right now, but it's still May. We have recent evidence of how trailing in the standings May is meaningless for the Dodgers. The thing you're pissed about if you're a Dodgers fan is how this team is basically Kershaw and some other guys. Take Kershaw's starts away and the Dodgers are a paltry 14-22 instead of treading water 23-23. He is 7-1 in his 10 starts with a 1.48 ERA (yes I'm sticking with wins and ERA. I don't need sabermetrics to prove my point any further, so suck it ... respectfully speaking of course). The rest of the rotation (which includes Bolsinger in this discussion because I'm counting all of the Dodgers starting pitching) is 9-13 with a 4.30 ERA. That doesn't turn around, Kershaw is going to at least finish second in the Cy Young behind Arrieta (if not win it if Arrieta comes back to Earth starting in June) and the team will be 71-91 this season.

And Fangraphs totally though he would never strike anyone out.

Oops, another Rbi single when he repeatedly couldn't put Uribe away. The ERA begins to converge with the peripherals.
