2015-16 NBA Thread (feat. the Wives)

They are capable, but they haven't done it against a team playing the way the Thunder are.

I wonder if it's a hockey-like situation for Curry, with the Warriors not disclosing how hurt he may be. And while I was a supporter of making a run at 73, I'm having second thoughts now.
Look at minutes played. The record has nothing to do with it. Just a lazy angle if they lose

The Thunder had a weird season. They had that really rough stretch in Feb/March where their rookie coach was missing both of his veteran assistants. At the same time Monty Williams' wife died, Mo Cheeks had hip surgery and missed time. OKC went 4-8 in that stretch.

Then at the end of the season, locked into the 3 seed with no hope of getting 1 or 2, they went 3-5 down the stretch.

So, taking those stretches into account, they're most likely a 60+ win team if they play a true and normal 82. They also had all those fourth-quarter problems, which they've worked out and hasn't been an issue here anyway.

All points taken, guys. Just throwing out a few thoughts.
Save them for First Take, Stephen A. :D

re: Thunder's fourth quarter collapses, aren't there more timeouts and stoppages in the playoffs? (Not sure if that's still true, or if it's simply something stuck in my brain forever thanks to the Jazz-Bulls 1990s finals.) Along with not having any more back-to-backs, or three-in-four days. One of Jalen Rose's big things is how the rest and intentionally sitting players thing is overrated except for the Spurs, who were trying to nurse older players through the regular season.

Don't really care who wins the Thunder-Warriors series.......my dislike for Skip Bayless is almost irrational, so the garbage he was spewing before this series started about the Thunder won't even win one game........yeah........moron.

Westbrook is a freak of nature. Don't think I'd wanna get too chippy with him either.....there's some crazy in them there eyes.

OKC looks dominant right now. If they can beat GSW in less games than the LeBrons can take Toronto it would be glorious.

LeBron will have more series losses than Magic has wins.

It's kind of mind blowing that the Warriors lost nine games in seven months, and now they could potentially lose four times in 10 days.

The injury Curry suffered had nothing to do with the run for 73.

If there's any glimmer of hope for the Warriors, it's that they can't possibly shoot this bad -- can they? The Thunder has had a lot to do with it, of course, because they're bothering a lot of shots that don't normally get bothered. But the number of wide-open looks the Warriors are missing, especially Curry, is way way out of character.

You would think that rights itself. But then there's the matter of stopping OKC, and that doesn't look like it's going to happen.
