Explain this to me like I'm a second-grader

I don't understand why they continue to make such a big deal about drinking and driving. People do it all the time without hurting anyone.

Why do you say that? I'm all for a thorough legitimate investigation. What I'm against is jumping to conclusions because there's an investigation.

The State Department IG issued a report with the conclusion that Clinton disregarded rules that exist to protect against the unknown possibility of something bad happening.

No one is jumping to anything.

Well, except the "indictment." Sort of.

I don't understand why they don't have large expensive investigations into everyone who goes 66 in a 65.

And, despite promising to do so, Clinton and her top aides refused to cooperate with the investigation.

Among previous SoS, Clinton was alone in refusing to give an interview to the IG.

They also found emails through other means that from Clinton that she did not turn over herself.

The idea that she only deleted personal emails goes out the window with this discovery.

She destroyed evidence, and obstructed justice, in addition to anything else she may have done.

Agree or disagree with the following statement: The Rosenbergs were executed for the 20th-century version of not having a strong enough password.

The comparisons made to previous SoS's here (with respect to the email) drive me bananas. Previous eras (even, arguably, the era of her most immediate predecessor(s) at State) are not comparable! I mean, shit, John Foster Dulles didn't break any rules with regard to emails. Why couldn't Herself simply follow his standard?

Boring. Let me know if someone discovers there was damage done to someone or some important entity.

When there were fears that Hillary's sever was being hacked -- you know, when they turned it off and back on to try and fix the problem -- her aides were told to not send any sensitive info to her via email.

Doesn't this suggest that they were sending her sensitive info to her via her personal email/server?

They also did not report this problem to the State Department's security, IT, or legal divisions.

Not familiar enough with their case to have an opinion.

Four or five years ago some heavy-hitter in medical research in my university system had his laptop stolen. It was known that he had some shitpile of people's medical data (including their SSNs and birthdates) on that laptop, and it was further learned that said laptop was not encrypted.

    They fired his ass.

If only he'd had you as an advocate he could have saved his job. After all, in the immediate aftermath there was no evidence that anyone had been harmed.
