If you think Mitt Romney is going to rally conservative voters, I don't know what to tell you.

This non-dummy is apparently in the #NeverTrump camp.

Physicist Stephen Hawking baffled by Donald Trump's rise (from @AP) Physicist Stephen Hawking baffled by Donald Trump's rise

LONDON (AP) - Renowned theoretical physicist Stephen Hawking may have a good grasp of the workings of the universe, but he says he can't understand Donald Trump's popularity.
Hawking tells ITV's "Good Morning Britain" show Tuesday that he has no explanation for the success of the presumptive Republican Party presidential nominee.

"He is a demagogue who seems to appeal to the lowest common denominator," Hawking says in prerecorded comments to be broadcast when the show airs at 6 a.m. London time (0500 GMT, 1 a.m. EDT) Tuesday.

I prefer to follow the political stylings of Neil de Grasse Tyson.

Let's assume Trump wins 100 more electoral votes than Romey, but no one gets 270.

Is the House going to hand the Presidency to the guy who came in third?

What state delegation is going to do that?

Well, the Supreme Court handed it to the guy who finished second.

There is NO comparison to how bad a candidate Trump is, and how stupid the people who will vote for him are.

I'm not sure this widespread assholery and embrace of ignorance has ever been seen in this country before.

People don't think he's ignorant. They think he's the only bastardized in the field who gets it.

Right. Because they're ignorant themselves. And have no desire to actually learn anything about the demagogue they mindlessly support, or even the world around them.

Have you watched Congress, and in particular the House, for the last eight years? They don't give a shit, as long as they get a Republican win. If they can fuck over Hillary Clinton while doing so, well, that's a supertanker full of gravy.

Not at all. I was pointing out the dilemma faced by earnest people who have actually given thought to policy and believe the country would be best led by someone with conservative ideals.
