Alrighty. That's not a fight I would put a whole lot of effort into. They're all pretty common usage.

At least they didn't spell Tar Heels as one word ...

    Also:
    Dear AP,
Please slug the weekly TV schedules the same damn way each week. None of this flipping back and forth shit you've been pulling for several weeks now.

Has anybody fooled around with the new AP Newsroom yet?
I just signed up today and glanced at the first page. Haven't dived into it. Any pros, cons, or tips on what to watch for?

Haven't fooled around too much with it ... but once you pick an AP Newsroom login/password, it becomes your Exchange password.

Yeah, I realized that last night when I went to log in to Exchange. I'm signed up for the Newsroom web training late next week.
Hopefully this isn't one of those "It wasn't broken, but we fixed it anyway" deals. I've always liked the simplicity of Exchange. It was a lean, functional site where you could find stuff easily if you knew a few slugs and key words to search for. I'm afraid Newsroom is going to have more "features" that do nothing but add five steps to the process.

    You know the business...

If it's not broke, we've got to fix it to stay relevant. Signed, Employees without a Real Purpose.

    Dear USA TODAY Sports Images:
Thanks a bunch for not shooting EITHER of our coverage's MLB teams tonight. Also, thanks for the pretentious bullshit ALL CAPS in your name that I have to edit out of every single damned cutline.

    Dear AP,

Anyone know why the Spelling Bee is listed in next week's TV sked? Makes no sense, even if the WWL is airing it.

The same reason they list the dog show?

I've meant to say this week that AP did a super job Sunday night getting the Coca-Cola 600 taken care of in a timely manner. I had a decent lead and a photo of the winner in plenty of time for my 10 p.m. deadline.

Have you ever looked at nascarmedia.com?

It's .... well, it's the NASCAR media relations site. Since we dropped AP photos, it's where we get our NASCAR pictures from. They're kind of repetitive with what they make available (a couple of track pictures, one or two of the winner in victory lane), but they usually put them up there quickly. There's some other good stuff on the site, too, if you need to dive deeper.

A timely NASCAR story? Once in a blue moon, I guess.
