I'm also curious how you can go to jail for "doing very bad things legally." If you're doing them legally, why would you wind up in jail?

Paul Ryan is voting for this guy.

John McCain actually takes the cake for moral gymnastics today with his "Look, Trump probably won't destroy the country, we'll prevent him from doing so, and the press can help in this area as well, we're not Romania for heaven's sake" endorsement.

Paul Ryan's a serious guy. Whether you agree with his policies or not, he's a serious guy and probably the future president of the United States. And he has to sit there with a straight face and stand by an utter circus act.

Is there a sitting Republican office holder who has definitively not endorsed him yet? Kelly Ayotte maybe? That person will have it etched on his/her tombstone.

And it's the judge's fault that Trump said all sorts of racist ignorant shit?
If there's a problem, Trump has nobody to blame but himself.
That the judge is an Obama appointee is irrelevant.

If anybody cared about his "serious" policy positions Rubio or Walker would have been the GOP nominee.

Well, you don't consider them serious because you don't consider any idea that runs counter to your own sensibilities to be serious. I will note, however, that neither you nor your "side" is unique in this respect ...

But you're right in noting that what Ryan is (or presumably would be) selling ain't exactly flying off the shelves these days.

That's all I'm saying. There's no genius to Ryan's baked over policy positions. They've been around for decades. And this election season clearly demonstrates they motivate very few people.
