I'm not really sure why'd they pick Dyson to hit if there is a retaliation today. Unless they are still pissed that he called a sweep in ALCS two years ago.

 

Dyson was woofing in the pile quite a bit last night.
If I'm pitching for the Orioles, that's exactly who I'm drilling.

Keep Salvy, Cain, Hosmer away from all of it. I'm fairly confident they are about to win like 9 of the next 12 and grab a decent lead, but they really don't need another stupid injury.

Not really. There's no doubt in anyone's mind that Ventura was aiming at him. Even the Royals know that.

In the case of the A's, it's an excuse to perpetuate lousy baseball and sung the small market blues, despite being in a Top 10 media market.

 

The pissing and moaning he did after flying out in the previous at bat. Acting as though he's too good to be pitched inside to.

 

Being the much smaller brother in a split market -- even if that market is top 10 -- still qualifies the A's as small market to me. I think you're kidding yourself if you think the A's have a huge following in San Francisco.

The Giants are averaging more than 41,000 a game, the A's 18,500.
