Wake me up when there's an actual competitive finals game. Watched the Americans instead last night. I chose well.

These playoffs have been weird, man. Even when the series have been close, the games have mostly been blowouts.

Teams have always gotten down by 15-17 points and battled back in playoff games.

But this year when their teams get down big, it seems coaches are deciding instead to keep their powder dry, pull their starters and save energy for the next game. It's worse for the sport than Hack-a-Shaq.

The Warriors play such smart defense and the Cavs still have their major lapses with switches and help defense on drives. JR had a stretch of 3 possessions in the 2nd quarter last night where he made the absolute wrong move, giving up two layups and a (missed) open jumper.

Game 4 will be the only game of the series with one day of rest beforehand, wondering if that favors anyone. The Cavs because if there is any momentum, they have it (and it gives Love one less day to pass concussion protocol)? The Warriors because Cleveland used so much energy last night, and Golden State can get right back out there instead of stewing about poor shooting?

Although Cleveland played much better defense last night than the first two games, IMO their offense/pace has been much more of a determining factor. Seems like when they went to Lue it was based on the idea that they tried last year to just play great defense and couldn't sustain over a full series, so they decided they're better off trying to outscore the Warriors.

The Warriors were lacking in execution and effort last night.

The Cavs were in many instances shooting the very same shots they shot before, but Irving, James and Smith hit their jumpers.

Here's hoping I see the Warriors show up in Gm. 4.

At some point, you have to realize Kevin Love is a good third or fourth option, and not a superstar.

Yep. He can be a star on a bad team. He can consistently give you 20 points and 10 boards, but you're going to lose. On a good team, he's a role player.

I've had to remind myself that last year, the W's were down 2-1 against a weaker team at this point; with that in mind, being up 2-1 is pretty good.

It's kind of funny because of the Thompson/Love trade talk, but Love is almost exactly like David Lee in this way.
