I think that this was a decent game but I think that the officiating detracted from it. While clearly you can call a game in such a way as to be more "physical" when players start getting mugged with impunity it detracts from the game.

I also think that the individual games should be called reasonably consistently. I think it detracts from the game when a two handed shove is called a foul by some officiating crews and ignored by others.

SVP and SportsCenter giving a lot of play to the incident between James and Green toward the end. Overblown by the WWL the way the game was called?

James can be a pouser. He saw that he was going to lose and thought that if he picked a fight the focus would be on how much he cared and how hard he fought. Total contrivance by James.

LeBron playing point may not be the best for this team as constructed. Why not let Irving play point, unless all you do is let James play one - on - three

Cleveland's ball movement was non-existent down the stretch.

Bron may as well bolt Cleveland again, because that team is broken, at least in terms of trying to compete against the best of the West. His talent alone is enough to get the Cavs out of the East, but I can't see any scenario where the as-currently-constructed Cavs can beat the Warriors, Spurs or Thunder.

I always thought Cavs are perfect for GSWs:

@stewardsfolly: Stat that boggles my mind about Game 5: LeBron and Kyrie took 33 of the 38 second-half shots for Cavs. Definitely not Strength in Numbers.

Warriors - team ball; Cavs ??

You mean Irving, the guy who seems to relish running into no-pass possessions? They one who is taking something like 30+ percent of the shots when matched up on Curry? The guy who seems to want to destroy the MVP so much he's indulging in iso-ball tendencies?

There are real criticism of James. His shot is a mess, and it's having ripple effects. They're starting his post ups too far out, forcing time-consuming action without enough happening on the weakside. But this, he's a selfish player and losing to a 73-win team is a weakness of character, lord.

Cavs can sign Bradley Beale to play the 2 guard, jettison Love and JR SMith

Also, Draymond went after Bron's nuts. It was real subtle, but it happened. I really like Draymond, but at some point, that shit has to stop.

That's what happened last night. James tried to do it all himself. As I noted a page or two ago, he stayed in at the start of the fourth quarter instead of taking the superstar break. But the second unit held serve and the gassed Cavs couldn't respond when the A team pulled away. I think there was a six-minute stretch the Cavs didn't score.

Who stops first, Draymond kicking nuts, or Ventura beaning people?

Well, Draymond is quite a bit more likely to keep his job after this season.

Here's a suggestion; don't throw guy down then step over him; then don't whine about it
