Do you really want to ruin someone's application to the secret forum elsewhere?

Hopefully terrorism never becomes a problem in America.

Sure. I don't necessarily think it should. But I'm smart enough to realize that guns are a very small part of what this tragedy is about. Therefore, the only reasons someone would be stuck on guns in the aftermath of this terrorist attack (the largest since 9/11 if you haven't heard) are purposeful ignorance or plain old stupidity. For the record, I give you credit for the former.

We do need to be vigilant; I'm just not sure what that really means. That's beaten into me because of where I work; we get security briefings all the time, but it's a different situation.

The really sad thing for me about this one is that my mom/family is all freaked out about my job and my post -- I'm now living in my third Muslim country, but first with this job -- and although there was a bombing here this week (the day I arrived), I'm originally from Florida and my sister lives in Orlando.

Wonder what my mom feels now about my own personal safety.

It just makes me sad overall. It's horrific. RIP.

Terrorism is potentially a problem everywhere.

Terrorists with easy access to assault rifles is an immediate problem in this country.

Your take on his tweet is the dumbest post on this thread.

We must find a way to keep fire out of the hands of regular people.

I don't think it's politicizing the incident to say this: will libs and lib media who have been squeamish about labeling radical Islam for what it is finally understand that two of its main bases, the LBGT community and women, are the two demographics radical Islam hates the most. The religious right in America may not be crazy about gays. There have been hate crimes in this country against gays. But homosexuality is not against the law here -- and as a result doesn't call for a death penalty like some Muslim nations.

We aren't allowed to be vigilant because shooting more than 100 people and killing at least 50 is a crime that pales in comparison to "profiling."
