I'd say "no one can be this stupid," but you continually make that statement incorrect.

I've never gotten a straight answer on this: how, exactly, does it exacerbate the problem? Like, give me specific examples of maladies that have occurred that would not have occurred had people not "ignored" radical islam. I'm not doubting that you have examples. I would just like for you to cite them so I can better understand your argument. Because I'm with you, radical islam is a destructive force in today's world. I just want to know what we should be doing about it besides talking about how big of a problem it is. Or, if all we need is more talk about how big of a problem it is, I want to know -- specifically -- how talking about it more would have prevented last night's shooting. Because I can't for the life of me understand the logic. If you can't answer that, then it is your fault that people aren't talking about it more, because you aren't giving them a good enough reason to talk about it more.

I mean, forget about "Radical" islam. Let's say Islam itself is the problem. Let's say it really is a religion of violence, conquest and terror, and not a religion of peace. What should we do about it? Outlaw it? Fight a crusade against it? Keep all known muslims under surveillance? The reports I've read indicate the shooter from last night is an American citizen. How could vigilance have prevented what happened? Again, provide specifics. Let's even say it was known he had radical leanings. How should we have prevented him from driving to a gay club at 2 am with a gun and shooting people? Should we have assigned a CIA/DHS minder/handler to follow him around 24 hours a day, 365 days a year for his entire life? Have a camera on him at all times and follow him whenever he leaves the house? Follow him when he leaves the house at midnight on a Saturday night? Ban Muslims from purchasing firearms? These are all things I can think of that might have prevented last night's shooting. Are you advocating for these measures? If not, then what? Close the borders? Stop admitting refugees? How would that have prevented last night's attack? How many American lives would have been saved over the last decade if we'd implemented those measures, or whatever measures you are advocating for?

Again, if you do not provide concrete specifics -- what steps did we fail to take that would have prevented last night's attack? -- then you are part of the problem. Because somebody like myself looks at abstract suggestions like "have more vigilance" and "act with more strength" and thinks, "What the fuck does that even mean?"

You posted a photo from a TV show and said it was a beaten-up Trump protester.

One og these days he's gonna throw out a rotator cuff patting himself on the back.

Seriously, is this a time to make political points? Apparently all those talks about staying on message flew right past him.

Last night in Orlando, a man armed with an assault-style rifle killed at least 50 people and wounded 53 others in a crowded nightclub.

Six months ago, in San Bernardino, Calif., a man and woman armed with assault-style rifles killed 14 people and wounded 20 others at a holiday party.

In 2012, in Aurora, Colo., a man armed with an assault-style rifle killed 12 people and wounded 58 others in a crowded movie theater.

Also in 2012, in Newtown Conn., a man armed with an assault-style rifle killed 28 people and wounded 2 others at an elementary school.

And for those who aren't tough, well, that's just too bad, right?

Unless you want to admit that he's offering nothing more than useless slogans.

Terrorism is criminal violence committed by a group to achieve political goals. Mindless rage, even with religious motivation, does not by itself meet the definition (but can be equally horrible by itself, as plainly demonstrated in Orlando.)
