Is the suspect dead, or in custody?

Per NBC, IS calling him an Islamic State fighter.

I think Islamic State travels to Penn State in September.

You forgetting Saudi Arabia, Yemen, etc., where it's also pretty much against the law to be Christian?

ISIS is the Arabic wing of the NRA, right?

I'll wait for proof on the IS connection. This turd may well have self radicalized reading their websites, but I doubt that he had any more connection than that. He made a call to 911 and pledged his allegiance to IS, but I bet that's the first they heard of him. Of course they'll take credit, it's cheap publicity and good propaganda.

Is it so impossible to think that radical Islam and the easy availability of high capacity automatic weapons might both be a problem? Or that sometimes they are connected and sometimes they are not?

I could kill a whole lot of people with milk jugs full of shredded couch cushions, soap flakes, detergent powder, and gasoline. Get enough of those placed in advance, maybe park cars to block exit doors, use more and some molotov cocktails to torch the place. Instant inferno.

Terrorists can use anything to kill and maim. A screwdriver will do. I still submit that an AR and half a dozen thirty round magazines taken to a soft target that is packed with people makes such an attack incredibly easy.

Turned out that case had nothing to do with religion.
