I offer a reminder that several GOP Presidential candidates are tight with an alleged man of God who thinks the gays should be put to death because the Bible tells us so:
Republican Candidates Attend Rally Where Pastor Advocates "Death Penalty" for Gay People

These alleged public servants paid homage to the hate-monger in advance of the Iowa caucuses.
Where in the Gospels does Jesus carry any weapons? Can someone point that out to me? Can they indicate why Jesus, if he were alive today, would carry an AR-15?

Now that I've corrected a typo and restored a dropped word, would anybody like to comment on any of the above questions? Specifically, can anyone tell me why it would have been a good idea to elect anybody who either believes or refuses to disavow the notion that homosexuals should be put to death?

Ya know what, Dick? You get your panties in a bunch when someone says defense attorneys get rich by defending rapists, but yet you sit there and type shit about designers "shining on burial day?" Fuck you. Seriously. Get the fuck out of here with that shit. Leave this fucking site forever.

Designers, much like you and other defense attorneys, have a job to do. In this case, that job means presenting the horrifying deaths of many innocent people to the reader in a compelling manner. What, you want the designers to half-ass this particular story and put it 4/2 above the fold alongside news of a motor vehicle accident that snarled traffic instead of putting their heart and soul into it and giving it a banner strip?

You don't like a double truck on a story like this? I guaran-fucking-tee you'd be the among the first to say the Sentinel or some other paper - after some other assault rifle attack - didn't give the victims their due if they didn't get a damned double truck.

Fuck you for this post. Fuck you.

Gun laws will change, fiercely, in about 15 years. Young Americans are watching, and, when it's their turn, they'll vote in a "well, fuck this" manner that forces politicians to fold on gun rights.

A little bit of compromise now would be so much wiser for the NRA and for gun manufacturers. But it won't happen.

I mostly agree with the gist of this -- unless it's the Daily News. Someone there obviously LOVES mass shootings.

Eh, you guys are too thin-skinned. We don't have to feel sorry for the work we do, but it does kinda suck that my most fulfilling page designs are the result of shit like this.

Let me be clear: I don't like the NYDN's liberal preaching on, well, a whole lot of things, including this issue.

But, if you're going to "liberal preach" on this issue, the NRA is the right target. The politicians can't do a thing. They can't. Most congressional districts in America are gerrymandered in such a way that where Republicans win, they almost always win, and they must embrace a certain platform on guns, or they will be voted out. The NRA and various other secretive Super PACs will buy them out of the primary, because that's what those entities do and the Supreme Court allows.

Anyone who wants to change gun laws should focus all of their attention on the NRA.
