I also loved the part with the ad focus group where no one even mentioned the inapropriateness of Jonah chasing after some kid on a playground.

I really believe Veep is the smartest TV show of my lifetime.

A notch above Two Broke Girls, at least!

There is something twistedly delightful about hearing My Girl repeatedly speak the word too awful to use on SJ.com.

Just wondering if anyone else thinks this show has gotten too absurd this season. The daughter and Secret Service agent lesbian story line? The Jonah getting elected storyline? Just absurd bullshit. I understand it's a comedy, but the show used to be semi-believable on a certain level. Now I watch it and I think, "Why am I still watching this?"

It has gotten a bit too farcical for my tastes as well this year. I still find it incredibly funny, but kind of like the later seasons of The Office, it's traded some of the bite for some broader attempts at humor. (Note: The drop-off hasn't been anything close to The Office.)

Jonah getting elected is frighteningly believable.

JLD in the Congressional Ball episode was absolutely on fire with her put downs -- it's good to see her play competent instead of . And Richard playing Jonah's opponent in the debate prep was outstanding.

Selena sleeping with Tom James during the Congressional Ball was just way too farcical.

But I'm guessing you'd have little problem getting on board with some of the stories about Bill Clinton's inauguration.

Minna referring to Selina's "rotting lady fruit" to the Chinese was awesome...
