Enough with the well-regulated militia meme. We will implode and burn before anyone starts taking guns.

Yesterday was 50. Next one'll be 100, then 500 and a thousand for the hell of it.

So, who's bringing popcorn for the next massacre?

As long as you make a sympathetic post to the victims first, it's all good, Sunny.

    What was the shooter's motive?

If Donald Trump proposed that Muslims be barred from being purchasing assault rifles, do you think the NRA would be onboard or would they rush to protect the religious rights of Muslims?

How does an unarmed people regulate the militia?

It would be the Mulford Act all over again for the GOP. But given the Cincinnati revolt in the NRA, I doubt LaPierre and Co. would get behind it - unless the manufacturers who write the biggest checks to them are OK with it.

I don't see a lot of solutions to the shootings being offered. Here are some ideas:

Ban weapons that hold more than six rounds for sale to the general public.

If you are convinced you need more firepower to protect yourself from the government, you can move to the new Republic of Texas and bring all your guns with you. You must spend your first year in Texas working on the border wall.

Anyone who makes the case that if we ban guns the terrorists will just attack us with improvised bombs and machetes will be sent to the Middle East with a machete and a bag of fertilizer to demonstrate their effectiveness against the enemy.

Stop hating on groups that are different than you and see if that helps. The more hateful rhetoric that is out there, the more people of all types are inspired/excused to do terrible things.

Nobody needs to own a Ferrari, or a 10 bedroom house either, but thankfully we have the freedom to buy them if we can.

Or any other semi-automatic weapon? Do you realize that would eliminate ALL guns? He had an AR-15. An AR-15 is NOTHING but a regular hunting rifle with a different stock and pistol grip. In fact, my .380 WITHOUT those changes have more power than most AR-15.

GUNS AREN'T THE PROBLEM. I keep repeating this and it gets tiresome. There is evil in this world. YOU CANNOT LEGISLATE EVIL AWAY. It's impossible. This guy hated gay people. He saw two men kissing in a park just a few days before, and it disgusted him, especially because he had his son with him.

But hey, let's pass another ban. Because if there was a gun in place he would have been sitting at home thinking "I hate fags and want to go kill some at that local gay club, IF ONLY I could legally buy an AR-15, THEN I would use it to kill people, but I don't want to break the law in getting a weapon".

Is it OK to give evil fewer bullets?
