We all experimented with things in our 20s we're not proud of.

So long as the state arms itself the way it does for ordinary daily events, I'm not sure what compelling argument could ever be made to most of the citizenry. I'm not sure any can be.

Our police departments function like little armies on a semi-regular basis. I'm not sure why we'd expect any different from citizens.

Lawn Darts being banned was one of the first major signs of this country's decline.

We also want access to axes, helmets and breathing apparatii because firemen have them.

It's probably the other way around. The police have the weaponry they do because ordinary citizens have AR-15s.

In AlmaLand, the Orlando shooter was inspired by all that shiny stuff hanging on the belts of the Fort Pierce P.D.

The hell they do. They have that shit because it's military surplus - stuff the DoD doesn't use or need anymore - in response to a ruinous drug war where, let's be clear, the bottom lines of both sides - the cartels and now the police - benefit from an ongoing action movie in the streets. There are people who become cops for this specific aim, to work in this ongoing action movie.

Unplug it all, IYAM. Start there, then let's talk about citizen guns.

I'm not going to muck up this thread, but I'll just say the heartlessness you've demonstrated with previous statements (like comparing an aborted human fetus to a fried egg) makes me not give a fuck about your views on the sanctity of life, nor on the loss or preservation of such.
