He has no idea what he's talking about. He's simply googling, while flailing.

Abortion isn't a big issue for Jews because it isn't directly addressed in the OT, but justgladtobehere has no knowledge of this. He's never read the Bible.

Yes, the all-powerful, all-knowing God, who knows the thoughts of every sparrow, went with drowning almost every person on earth before he or she decided maybe Jesus could handle it better.

In Interplanetery Being school, God got an F in Omniscience, I bet.

Yes, I do. Sadly, it seems you don't.

    It was a simple question.

Are Catholics, or other Christians, bound by Leviticus?

Is your answer yes, or no?

If it's yes, please present some evidence of this.

Nothing you have posted has even attempted to answer this question affirmatively.

The idea that the Bible is open to interpretation but the Koran is not is one of the most absurd things I've ever read around these parts in quite a while. ALL religions are open to interpretation/adaptation. And it is hilarious to me that YF has been flogging the media's pushing of the #narrative for years, but he doesn't hesitate when it fits his worldview.

God mellowed out. He had a kid, and got soft like MC and Sunshine.

    It happens.

    His dad certainly did.

And then he told his followers to ignore his dad, because his dad admitted he screwed up big time.

BDC, it's actually a simple concept.

According to Muslims, the Koran is the literal Word of God, as transcribed by Mohammad, who is the final Prophet. This doesn't allow for any changes, mistakes. moderation, or reform.

The Bible is the inspired Word of God, written by Man, doing their best to spread the Good News of God's saving grace. It was written after the events happened. It's authors often did not see the events they are writing about.

It was also written in a language that Jesus did not speak, and is commonly read in a language that it was not written in.

A New Covenant that is directly addressed by the Bible, or interpreted by man decades and centuries later?

Not quite. There's lots of contemporary material, but because it's not in the OT, and barely in the Talmud (somewhat surprisingly) most of the source material is relatively late (the last few hundred years). What you call not a big issue is more accurately just a complex area of law that needs to be addressed case by case by an expert with a variety of factor variables that will determine the outcome.

OK. That's put a bit crudely, but let's go with it.

God the Father sent his only son to institute a New Covenant with Humanity that would govern the relationship between the two going forward, right? That's what Christians are bound by.

Muslims believe that this same God -- the God of Abraham -- sent one more Prophet, Mohammad, to be his final messenger, and to make clear his intentions. This is what Muslims are bound by.

I'm not sure what's hard to understand about this.
