This thing is making me feel a little like I'm in Bizarro World.
Liberals/Progressives say the No Fly provision of the current gun bill denies due process and is unconstitutional because it's racist against Arab Americans who have no way to defend themselves against the charge.
Conservatives/Republicans say the No Fly provision of the current gun bill denies due process and is unconstitutional because it denies Second Amendment rights to people who have no way to defend themselves against the charge.
They finally agree on something, and they're still fighting about it because they agree it's a bad law for different reasons.
    Ain't America great?

The Democratic revolt, sit-in, in the House is fascinating. Never seen anything like it in the House.

CSPAN must be getting it's best ratings of all time.

Also nice to see Democrats showing some spine.

The Democrats' sit-in has reached the ridiculous stage. Fifty years after doing a sit-in for civil rights, John Lewis is taking part in a sit-in to eliminate rights. Full circle.

No one wants to eliminate rights. That's absurd. They want a vote. A vote on an issue about 90 percent of the country agrees with.

Why are the Republicans afraid of going on record?

Just because you disagree with an editorial position doesn't make it lack credibility.

This is a front-burner issue for a majority of the country.

Is it because just voting on it is a victory in and of itself and would give the issue more credibility than it deserves?

Yeah, interesting times ahead for Gawker, Deadspin and the like. You start pitting aggrieved parties against each other and the purity litmus test gets tough.

    Hey, that's racist!

Wait, the other side might be sexist!

Whoa, it's all so smarmy, maybe we just need to put a plague on both houses and say "fuck this shit."
