I can't fault Ryan and the GOP for backing due process. I never blasted the House for voting down those bills this week. But are we just completely beyond compromise and reaching across the aisle? Never mind. I know the answer to that. Sigh.

Please don't act like this is just about background checks. They want to take away a constitutional right from citizens without a conviction, trial, charge, or transparency.

Gave us early practice for when we took over Hollywood.

Have I not acknowledged the need for due process? I didn't want to elaborate more because I was on my phone and it was like 430 in the morning. Settle down, Sparky, as the saying apparently goes.

Nice to see the Dems fund-raising off this publicity stunt. Looks like Ryan is right again.

And they want to take away constitutional rights for an action that would not have made a bit of difference in Orlando, San Bernardino, the Boston Marathon bombing or the Fort Hood shooting.

Obviously it's a "publicity stunt" in that the Dems are trying to highlight the fact that the GOP refuses to vote on any gun control legislation.

Whatever you want to call it, it seems to be working better than rolling over and keeping your mouth shut after a classroom full of kids was shot to pieces.

Ryan slaying the crybabies in his weekly press briefing right now. Facts always come back to haunt Democrats.
