Odd the presumptive GOP nominee and prolific tweeter has been MIA on the SCOTUS ruling about the Texas abortion laws, yes?

In theory, Communism works, in theory.

Republicans are not overt about their racist policies. It's all about protecting the sanctity of this or protection of that but yet, it always seems the minorities are on the short end of it. Voter fraud so rampant that there were as many cases of it as I have fingers in the last few elections that they had to pass voter ID laws and restrict early voting. And the GOP clutches its pearls and waves away the vapors when it turns out that those things make it harder for minorities to vote all the while feigning surprise. Arizona passes the you must prove your a citizen upon request. Gee, I wonder how many whites that was going to target ...

And that doesn't even get into the stupid things the members of the party say or the dog whistles they've become so good at.

Yes, the Dems pay more attention to race. Why? Let me think, there's only all of American history since the Civil War that has given progressives pause to think there might be a need to stand up for the rights of minorities.

Most of what you're saying is true. They messed up at every turn.

But they are noble, or whatever the word is for making the least bad decision in extreme, unforeseen circumstances.

It's a fairly complicated issue, so it's probably going to take a little while for someone to draw him a picture that he might understand.

In your youth it seems like you were surprised that Republicans could be normal people.

Always good to hear from you, Earthboom. The things we've carried in your absence have been a burden.

    Trump and Clinton, mirror images.

Both unpopular -- even among members of the party that nominated them.

Trump is clearly less popular, but Hillary is not loved.

Hell of a way to pick a leader of the free world, huh?

Let's nail down a few things that makes one a Republican:

Pro-gun, pro-life, military strength, lower taxes, law-and-order (tough on crime/drugs).

How many of these issues have been advanced in the past 16 years?

Looking at 2016 through that perspective, is it any wonder all establishment candidates were rejected in favor of Trump? He's the "none of the above" choice, regardless of his lack of policy positions and experience. And if things get worse between now and November, you'll see how viable he becomes.

You really need to turn off The Rachel Maddow Show. A man who has run multi-billion businesses as long as he has is not someone -- to use your own words -- "has shown a 3-year-old's understanding of the world around him." If you want to dislike him because he says things to get a rise out of people, that's one thing. But this "Trump is stupid" bullshit is beneath people who wish to claim they themselves are smart.
