Epic bungling by the umpires in the Bronx tonight. It was raining steadily the whole game. Yanks up by a run on the Rangers. Chapman comes in, walks a guy and goes 3-1 on the next guy. Girardi comes out to complain. Umps delay the game.

That was at about 10:30. Still delayed but not called at 1:15 a.m. Under the rules, if they call it now, the Yankees win. Umps know they royally screwed the Rangers, so they're holding out. Yet, it's raining even harder, the tarp is on the field and nobody is warming up or stretching.

    Epic bungle.

Kirby Yates replaced Chapman and has proceeded to hit three batters and give up a two-run single.

And the Yankees lose 9-6 after a 3:35 rain delay. I know it was the umps call, but do they keep playing if Giradi doesn't complain? I don't think so. And I find that funny.

Joe Ross is going to be a very good pitcher for several years.

His stuff was shit early last night and the Mets pounded him for 8 hits and 4 runs thru 2.1. Even the outs were loud and hard. He was in more trouble in the third. Dusty went out to talk to him. Seemed like he was getting the hook. The camera was trained on Ross' face. I reckon it wasn't a pleasant chat. But whatever Dusty said worked.

Next batter hits a crappy little comebacker and Ross manages, with the tip of his fingers, to flick the ball to the catcher for the force. Next batter makes out to keep it at 4-0.

The Nats' offense wakes up in the bottom half against Syndergaard and scores 5 for a 5-4 lead. Syndergaard didn't return after that.

Ross meanwhile threw 3 more solid innings, and the Nats kept pounding away for an 11-4 win.

Ross threw 94 pitches, 65 strikes.

One of those moments I wish Dusty was mic'd to hear what he said to Ross.

Scroll back up and see. Your factual errors have been corrected multiple times in this discussion. I don't have time to waste showing you things you already know and are too dishonest to acknowledge right now. Maybe later if you ask nicely.

Maybe you could save me a couple minutes and tell me what these factual inaccuracies were.
