Sounds like once Pearlman fully thought the story through he wasn't comfortable with it. Does it look bad after he teased it? Sure, but I'd like to think most of us would do the same after carefully evaluating the ethical considerations of a delicate story, assuming that's what's going on here.

If you disagree politically with Pearls on his Twitter feed he will block you. It happened to a friend.

Pearlman never seemed to have ethical doubts based on past history

    A common practice here.

I don't think it happens much around here these days. You have to be a real baby to block someone.

Anyone know when Pearlman's Favre book is due out? Around HOF inductions, maybe?

Given the negative slant of the discussion, I feel somewhat obliged, for balance, to say that I greatly enjoyed the two Pearlman books I've read (Showtime and Boys Will Be Boys) and on social media I've seem him engage Republicans/conservatives in pointed but substantive debate.

Not arguing that he's never made a false move, but from what I've seen he's better than this thread would suggest.

Pearlman's default is false move. He's exactly what the thread suggests.

I don't claim total knowledge of the man, and I don't know anything about the examples others have cited. Just saying my experiences have been different.
