Thinking about the next two seasons today, came to the conclusion that Cersei doesn't make it to Season 8. They've gotta resolve her issue and leave time for the battle with the wights, right?

I have to agree. Season 7 is Daeny and the Starks finally ending "the great game" that culminates in Cersei's death and Daeny taking the thrown. They all hail her as queen but meanwhile the Nights Watch is fighting a hopeless battle at the wall and before we fade to black, the wall comes down.

The shorter Season 8 lets us get on with it quicker as Daeny and the Starks search the kingdoms for valyrian steel helped by Maester Sam and leads us to the final war for humanity.

Correct. Her job was to clear out all the likable characters in the south so we don't have any misgivings when Dany shows up and delivers fire and blood.

So who is the third dragon rider?

Two of them will certainly be Dany and Jon.

There's book-reader talk that Tyrion could be the third, but I think it might be Bran warging into the third dragon.

How about a spoiler alert there, George R.R.?

Do we have to have dragon riders? They seem to be doing OK on their own.

Never thought of the Bran thing, but that's a possibility. I think the most popular theory is Tyrion, based on the fact that he could be a product of a Targaryen rape. There's been a lot of clues thrown out there that Tywin never claimed Tyrion as his own, but most people believed it was because he was born a dwarf.

I'm playing for Team Cersi. She's been, consistently, the best evil character on the show.

Although I wouldn't mind if Tyrion killed her, especially if he shot her with a crossbow while she was on the shitter.

I vote for Tyrion as the third rider. They kind of already hinted at it this season when the dragons in the cellar didn't tear him to shreds.

Did anybody take that torture scene as The Zombie Mountain raping Urella (the nun)? I took it as him torturing her, not anything sexual, but apparently quite a few people took Lena Headley's suggestion that the scene was initially going to be much worse as a hint that he sexually assaults her.

He has a history of rape.
