If I remember correctly, the issue that caused such consternation was that Pence and Co. were going to pass it off as a legitimate news agency, not just a wing of the PR department.

Which means if they had gone through with it, Pence would be getting accused of costing kids scholarships.

 

And they keep fucking up by writing headlines without the approval of special interests.

He's the guy who bankrolled Hulk Hogan's lawsuit against Gawker. He's gay (the source of his beef with Gawker) and presumably not a big fan of the platform the GOP adopted.

I hate Peter Thiel. Anyone remember American Thunder? He was supposed to be the big bucks bankrolling it. It lasted, what? Three months? Then it went bankrupt (where was all that PayPal money?), still owing me $1,000 in freelance fees.
