    The George McGovern pick of Tom Eagleton has always been a tickler. Turned out the
    Eagleton never told McGovern that he had screw loose and had received psychiatric care.
    It hit the fan once this became news. In the cold war era the country did not want someone so unstable too close to the button. Eagleton ended up stepping out on August 1 and Sarge Schriver became McGovern's running mate.

    Won't the Dem Governor name his replacement? I thought that was one reason he made sense unlike Brown from Ohio or Warren. Maybe I'm wrong.

    Just studied the latest Ipsos poll. Two percent of respondents who said they were Republicans also said they were voting for Jill Stein. What? How could those people possibly exist, or did they dial Dick Whitman's house when he'd been drinking and feeling mischievious?

    Tim Kaine Calls To Deregulate Banks As He Campaigns To Be Clinton's VP

    WASHINGTON ― Sen. Tim Kaine (D-Va.) is on Hillary Clinton’s short list of potential vice presidential nominees. He’s also actively pushing bank deregulation this week as he campaigns for the job.

    Kaine signed two letters on Monday urging federal regulators to go easy on banks ― one to help big banks dodge risk management rules, and another to help small banks avoid consumer protection standards
