That's surely how it comes across though, and others from all levels have said it, from Madeleine Albright down to local pols in my FB feed.

Then we deserve to be the world's laughingstock, which, make no mistake, we will be.

Both candidates' favorables are at or not even at 40 percent, the political equivalent of the Mendoza line.
PS: I think Vombatus is on to something. Not that Clinton has acted entitled, but to me, her unpopularity stems from the idea she is Career Politician, a stock villain in the hazy minds of Americans who've excused their own apathy and refusal/inability to become informed citizens. In no other field of endeavor does the belief exist that somebody outside a system is the most effective person to operate it.
It'd be hilarious and horrible all at once if Mitt Romney lost because of his legitimately successful business career while Trump wins because of his fake one.

Just saw this. I also think I missed your pledge so thanks for being willing to live up to it and asking me to weigh in. A vote in your state isn't making any kind of statement since it will go R. As a Floridian, I find $100 to Grayson entertaining, but it doesn't really send the message of disgust with Trump as the nominee. It's got to be $100 to the Clinton campaign.

    That's his "polls plus" projection.

    Check this one out.

One last post before my tee time. I can't emphasize how strongly I believe the next President is fucked whomever it is. If Clinton, she will have a platform with no means of enacting it (Congress isn't changing). She will therefore be seen as ineffective as Carter was. If Trump, he will either have to repudiate his party's agenda in Congress on social insurance, making the party hate his guts, or enact cuts in Medicare and Social Security, making everyone else hate them. I also don't think he'll pile up many foreign accomplishments.

Weird, I somehow missed that post, too, @doctorquant . Have to go with Hillary. The question is, will it be a closet donation or will you actually mention it to your golf buddies?

For a long time, the question was, "what states that Romney list, could Trump win?"

It was assumed Trump had "no path" to the presidency.

I think we see the path now -- and he doesn't even need Virginia.

I would laugh my ass off if she lost to this guy. A clock cleaning by a barely known Barack Obama and then upset by the 8-seed.

    The Gene Mauch of candidates.

Well, the overreaction to the convention bump was nothing if not incredibly predictable.
