"Build the wall" is a conservative stance.

 

Expensive government project with little projected effectiveness.

While racist nativism and conservativism have a weird alliance in this country, I still consider them separate.

 

Which candidate does a conservative congress have a better chance of working with, and having their agenda signed into law?

It's really that simple.

 

Seemingly hates Hillary. There need not be more.

Trump truly has no governing philosophy. He'll be the least ideological president we've had in decades. Least religious too.

Has he campaigned as a carnival barker? Yes.

Do we know how he'd govern? No

But, I think he really does want to be spokesperson, salesman, and cheerleader in chief.

Who he leaves the details to is the big question.

But, Pence, Ryan, and McConnell will have far greater influence with a President Trump than they will with a President Clinton.

 

Why would anybody be comfortable with what you just described? You think people would want him as the face of our country?

 

Yes he does ... "I alone can solve."

Trump himself isn't dangerous; he's just a bloviating dipshit. But what he represents (and what the broader swath of his supporters are drawn to) is a dangerous, dangerous thing.

The political weaponization of the bureaucracy has been going on a long, long time. Some might argue, with merit, that there's been an inflection point (upward) these last few years (c.f., Louis Lerner at the IRS, or the current "fraud" investigations re: climate change). But we've yet to hand control of that bureaucracy over to a wanna-be despot.

Your take is that Trump isn't a wanna-be despot.

I don't want to find out whether you're right or wrong.

They've already weaponized the bureaucracy.

And, they turned it into a profit center while Clinton was at State.
