A buddy told me he gets a bit perturbed when people call out for Bryan Adams songs, even has asked security to remove hecklers.

It's difficult for me to fathom that a 19-year-old wrote a lament about how you "work your whole life for someone else."

He used to. Not so much anymore.

He used to be miserable when performing. Turns out he had an inner ear disease and tinnitus which made him miserable when performing. He's been fine on stage since treating that.

I've seen him four times. Once he was in a real good mood, joking with the audience. It was right after he started cleaning himself up, so he was feeling real good about himself. Another time was with The Cardinals, and it was real weird. They sat on stools and played their songs. Almost no noise at all in between songs. The group had headsets in and you could hear them whispering to each other. No interaction with the crowd at all. Another time he was getting into a little bit with a couple people in the crowd. Nothing like any of his infamous meltdowns, though. Last time a couple years ago he was touring with Butch Walker and all in a good mood.

Never saw him during his meltdown days.

@Double Down, speaking of Isbell, did you ever hear his Born in the USA cover? Never knew it existed until a few minutes ago, and holy ... they should create the entire third season of True Detective around this version.

He was also an addict, which may explain some of his behavior.

A fiddle (and annunciation) makes everything better.
