Trump's courting of the racist redneck vote wouldn't have been so effective in the primaries if the GOP establishment hadn't so thoroughly alienated moderates (like me) by selling out to support the religious right's culture wars.

I would say that Trump just lost "The Fire Marshall Vote" but I think I read a story from August 2015 that says they favor him by a 54-46 margin. So he is still good.

No he's just more popular among people who call themselves Republicans than any of the other clowns the party rolled out. Kind of says something.

 

He is now. Has been Dem and Ind in the past as well as Rep.

 

It says what I already acknowledged: People are pissed at the GOP establishment for years of being ignored/patronized and are expressing their frustration through Trump.
