When they aren't teaching they're usually at the pool.

    You're wrong.

According to this database, the highest-paid professor in the University of Wisconsin system made $370,000 last year.

The 15 highest paid professors in the system are all business or economics professors.

The highest paid humanities professor makes $242,000.

Why does OT hate people in the top 1% in earning in Madison? Is he part of Occupy Randall Avenue?

Yeah, I exaggerated a little bit. I counted 63 "professors" or "assistant professors" making 200K or more. Problem is, those are the professors who are barely in the classrooms, letting TAs do all the work or only having one class a semester. In the real world, the more you make the more you have to do. It's a complete reversal in the University systems. It's like they get legacy treatment and they get to cut their work load down as their salaries skyrocket. Taxpayers have had enough.

Let's be real here. Even if a professor is teaching three classes a semester, that means he's in the classroom roughly nine hours a week. Then, even if we can give him credit for 15 "office" hours a week, that's a 24-hour work week -- for the ones teaching three classes a semester. Now let's talk about the ones teaching one or none.
