Actually those words were from Obama's 2o08 Inaugural Address. Pretty much the same dark view of America that Trump is now being criticized for articulating . Obama seems to now just see blue sky ahead.

 

Obama was talking about an ongoing economic recession. Trump was talking about Gotham City.
